What Happens, Step by Step
Starting home care is a conversation before it is a schedule. Three steps take you from a first phone call to a caregiver in the home — and the one that happens where care happens is the assessment, at your home.
1. Free consultation
A 20-minute phone call to understand your situation, schedule, and the kind of caregiver who would be the best fit.
2. In-home assessment
We meet at the home (or by video) to walk through daily routines, safety concerns, and care priorities, at no charge.
3. Caregiver match
We pair you with a caregiver whose skills and personality fit. Most families keep the same caregiver for the long term.
The assessment is where we look at three things:
- Daily routines — how a normal day at home actually goes.
- Safety concerns — the things that would worry us if nobody were there.
- Care priorities — what matters most to your family, in your words.
After the assessment we put together a personalized care plan, and then we match you with a caregiver whose skills and personality fit. Most families keep the same caregiver for the long term.
What It Costs: Nothing
The in-home assessment is free. There is no charge for the visit, no deposit to start service, and no long-term contract — families may pause or cancel with 7 days' notice. When you are ready to look at hourly rates, our pricing page shows them in one place.
Free, with no obligation
The 20-minute consultation is free, and so is the in-home assessment that follows it. Nothing about the visit commits you to anything.
One flat rate when you do start
Care is billed at one flat hourly rate, with no deposit to start. See our pricing page for the current rate where you live.
No long-term contract
Families may pause or cancel with 7 days' notice. If the assessment tells you home care is not what you need, we will say so.
Who the Assessment Is For
Families starting the conversation
You do not have to know how many hours you need before you call. The consultation is about understanding your situation and the kind of caregiver who would fit; the assessment then looks at what a normal day at home actually involves.
Veterans and surviving spouses
Veterans may qualify for VA benefits that help pay for home care, and we help families work out what applies. Start with our VA benefits guide, or see how VA Community Care referrals work in Colorado.
Families who want the right caregiver
Skills and personality both matter, and the assessment is how we match both. Most families keep the same caregiver for the long term, so the fit is worth getting right.
