Shawn and Ann moved to the Pikes Peak region over twelve years ago when they decided they needed a better place to raise their growing family. Shawn owned and operated a non-medical home care company in Colorado Springs and Denver, and has been working with seniors since 2001. Shawn loves working with seniors and has found great joy in helping families care for their aging loved ones. Ann holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Family Science, and was halfway through her masters in social work, but placed it on hold when children first started joining their little family. Shawn and Ann have not only helped other families care for their loved ones, they have gone through the experience of caring for their aging grandmother and mother, and they became even more familiar with medical and personal care needs when Shawn suffered a stroke. Trying to research and find the best care and rehabilitation solutions for Shawn in the midst of crisis was very difficult. After a long recovery, and having personally benefited from great assistance and care, Shawn and Ann desired to help families find answers to care needs for their loved ones, especially during stressful life events.
Before starting his career, David spent two years in Argentina learning the Spanish language and discovered a deep satisfaction in helping others. He has an undergraduate degree in human resources and a graduate degree in business. He has worked in management including traveling throughout the United States facilitating training in improving business cultures. His wife, Bonnie, spent 18 months serving in France working with people from many countries including Italy, Turkey, and Zimbabwe. For the last several years she has raised six children and been involved in visiting the homes of aging women. From childhood, both Bonnie and David remember visiting nursing homes and performing for the residents. They have continued that tradition with their own children visiting and performing during the holidays. They have both been involved in the transition their parents have made from home living to retirement/assisted care living. Bonnie and David have seen how important it has been to find the right fit and right feeling for the adult in transition. Seeing the nurturing care provided by medical and senior care givers has been one of the great motivations for getting involved in the field of senior care assistance. Bonnie and David’s great desire is to help families make this important transition with the same dignity and respect that was shown by those surrounding their own parents.
To preserve independence, dignity, and quality of life for aging loved ones while assisting their transition into a new phase of life. Providing peace of mind and expertise to their families through the dedicated service of competent and caring professionals
